Happy Birthday Grandma Webster

Happy Birthday G'ma Webster :)

Love,

Tummy Time

Addison enjoying a little tummy time while patiently awaiting her breakfast

Rice cereal with a spoon

On our first attempt at feeding Addison rice cereal with a spoon she seemed offended by the idea of something somewhat solid for her to swallow and just spit it out. Over the past week or so, she has become very fond of spoons........so I thought it would be a good time to re-attempt the concept of eating with a spoon. Addison was doing great, taking a few bites and actually swallowing some of it. Of course she was also spitting a large amount of it out and putting her hands all in it. But then I attempted a third bite and she hesitated. I patiently held the spoon with the rice cereal outside her mouth awaiting her to open the gaits. She then sneezed :) And the rice cereal was all over me, the couch, the blanket, and Turtle.
There is never a dull moment around here these days :)

Hanging out with Aunt Sandra, Uncle Rusty, and Cousin Sara

Sandra hanging out at the pool, showing off that baby bump.
Sandra has been a huge help and blessing. She comes over several times a month and watches Addison while Ryan and I are at work or so I can sleep in after a long night at work. By the time Sara comes, Sandra will be a pro :) Thanks Sandra

Uncle Rusty and Addison hanging out at the pool. Often when Sandra comes to babysit, Rusty comes to work/play :) We really enjoy having you guys over and are soooo grateful you live in Dallas.

Cute pictures

Sporting her Meme's princess outfit. Addison is quiet a happy girl these days.

Lunch with Laura, Tom, and Mimi

This past weekend, Addison got the pleasure of seeing all of her grandparents. Once we arrived in Dallas we met her Grandma and Grandpa Webster and Mimi for lunch. Addison enjoys all the special attention.

Addison's Airplane ride

This past weekend, Addison and I flew to Houston. It was quiet an experience to say the least. After running through the airport to catch our flight and arriving right after everyone had got onto the plane, Addison decided it was time for her morning bowel movement. I desperately look at the airport employee and asked, "do you want me to change her out here or should we just get on the plane?" He allows me to change Addison at the Terminal while everyone in the mean time is waiting on us to board the plane. My hurry and nerves did nothing close to soothe Addison because it led to her letting out an ear piercing scream as we loaded the plane. It was a large plane with maybe 3-5 open seats on the whole thing. With Addison screaming, I got the pleasure of walking all the way to the back of the plane looking in each persons eyes as they express so clearly that I WAS NOT SITTING NEXT TO THEM :) The only open seats were slowly getting smaller as I approached them. We finally arrive at the 2nd to last row on the plane with an open aisle seat. I was actually surprised they didn't make us sit in the bathroom. Addison proceeds to scream for about 15-20 minutes and finally falls asleep. I am certain I was being glared at the whole plane ride by none less than 75+ people. And thank God for turbulence b/c I was sure it was my duty to purchase everyone on that plane a drink for having to put up with us.

Then we arrive in Houston to find that our luggage got put on the plane that left one hour behind us..........OH goody. After all of the fiasco, the baby shower for Rusty and Sandra was great and my mom did a wonderful job. It was great to see all the family. The other great part about the trip was that the flight home was uneventful and people stared at Addison not in disgust, but in adornment. It was a much better trip :)

Something funny/interesting I learned on my trip is that when your child is screaming and making everything more difficult, everyone will avoid you like the plague, BUT if she is looking cute and making your life easy they all are around and want to offer their help. Funny how that is......

Morale of the story.......never rush a baby in the airport. You will pay and so will the other 150 victims held hostage on the plane with you :)

Addison spending some good times with Elizabeth and Mother :) No pictures of Elizabeth holding Addison......I am certain she is afraid if she holds her, she won't want to give her back :) Mother gave Addison this beautiful dress at our baby shower. We had a wonderful time at lunch together at Chilis today. We will have to all do it again sometime soon.

Hanging out on the couch eating an ice ring with her dad and best friend Austin

Addison is working hard to recreate Austin's smart face.....I think she has got it down :)
Tummy time has quickly turned into roll over to my back and eat my hands time. Addison is not a very big fan of laying on her tummy

The after swimming coma. I now see why my parents kept me in swimming for so long. Nothing puts an energetic baby to sleep better than swimming :)

Fun Day out at the Pool

Turtle's swim lessons

Boomer keeping a good eye on Ryan......all the dogs are well aware that Ryan is always looking to throw them into the pool.

After the sun went down, we turned up the hot tub. The hot tub always guarantees a good night of sleep for baby Addison :)

Celebrating the 4th with Daddy

Addison and Ryan celebrated her first fourth of July together. They hung out in the cul de sac with our wonderful neighbors and ate bar b que
While I was off at work, Ryan was introducing Addison to the wonderful world of boxing. I think she might be happier with pink boxing gloves in the future :)

Boomers Biopsy Results

We received Boomers biopsy results today. His cancer on his nose was confirmed to be a Grade 2 Mast Cell Tumor. A type of tumor that if it is completely removed surgically with clean margins is cured, but if clean margins cannot be obtained it tends to respond well to radiation therapy. The location of Boomers tumor was on top of his nose and it was uncertain if clean margins could be obtained. Ryan and I decided to take him to Dr. Barstad a surgeon at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Dallas. We were informed that Dr. Barstad is the best and wanted to give Boomer the best chance at beating this cancer. Well Dr. Barstad is our hero, because it was confirmed today that Boomers tumor was completely excised with clean margins..........YEAH!!! We could not be happier. It appears Boomer is back on tract at making his 30 year life expectancy that we are all hopeful for :)

4 Month Check Up

Baby Girl had her 4 month check up this past week. She is currently 24 1/2 inches tall, 12lbs 7oz, and her head is 16 cm. Addison is in the 50% for her height and head circumference, but in the 25% in her weight......if she is a lucky girl she will stay that way when she grows up :) Her mom wishes she could have those stats :)

Pictures of the other children

Some folks claim that Austin does not look too smart.........I just don't see it :)
The princess herself
Austin is by far the sweetest dog in the house....he is a very close 2nd....but in all fairness to Steiner......I don't think any dog could beat out the perfect Boomer :)

The chosen ones

The two first born hanging out...
Addison has learned early in life to love Boomer...
And vice versa
Addison, so dearly trying to fit in with the rest of her sibblings :) We are a little concern her first word may be...ROOF

Boomer the Great

Our poor sweet Boomer was diagnosed with cancer on his nose this past week. He had surgery on Tuesday by a surgeon in Dallas. We are currently waiting on biopsy results to see if all the cancer was removed or if we need to follow with radiation therapy. Boomer could use and would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. We love this little boy sooo much and just know this is a little bump in the road and soon it will be all over. Boomer will be cancer free :) Who else will watch over Addison and keep the boys away.

Tia hanging out with the gang

One big happy family.

Tia, Addison, and Austin spending some quality time together. Austin misses the days of hanging out on the couch with Tia watching tv.

Aunt Amy to the Rescue

Amy came in town this past week and watched Addison for us. Addison had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Amy. Although she is unsure why Amy kept referencing to her as "Addy the Paddy Waddy"
Thanks for all of the help Amy! Ryan and I would love to have you back anytime.
