Blog catch up

Kindergarten has been an adjustment, but it is so nice to dedicate 10 minutes every morning to walking together and talking on our way to Addison's school.  We recently determined that Austin is the best walking buddy.  He lets Addison (or Emery) hold the leash and never pulls even with all the kids around.  Addison is so excited to have him on our morning walks to school

Emmy showing me that she can walk into her school all by herself too :)

Sweet Austin kisses prior to Addison departing for her school day

 Emmy's stinker face

 Fun at the playground

Now that Addison is learning to read and write, she feels the need to push her knowledge off on Austin.  He escaped "the classroom" and I though it was hilarious watching her try to take him "back to class"

Addison's soccer

Addison is having a great time playing soccer this year.  She is very excited that coach Mike asked Ryan to be the assistant coach.  We are still working on our first goal, but she has gotten some great kicks in this season.

Emmy's first day of preschool

Emmy was so sweet patiently awaiting her preschool to start one week after Addison's school started.  We drove by her preschool and she said, "thank you mommy for my school."  She was a little nervous about being left the first day, but did have fun seeing all of her friends from last year.

After her 1st day of Kindergarten

Her after school smile has less nerves attached :)

Addison and I had a great time at Yogurt Story talking about her first day of Kindergarten.  It was a big change for her with a lot of new independence that seemed scarey at first, but I think she is liking it.  When asked her favorite part of her first day of school was "seeing mommy and Emmy again."  She made one friend, Makayla.

This is a picture of Addison how we left her on the first day.  She seemed pretty excited until this point and gently said, "Mommy and had a tear fall from her face."  It was tough leaving her at the school at that point.  I found myself doing a walk by to make sure she was OK and going by the school in the middle of the day to talk with the lady at the front desk bc I was already missing her.
The girls were very excited to tour Addisons new elementary school at Meet the Teacher night.

Addison and Emery wanted their hair done like Princess Anna from Frozen

Emmy's day out

Emmy got to jump on the trampoline with Princess Elsa

 She loves to bounce

Emmy prefers protect the ball from others instead of dodge ball

Emmy has been missing her sister this week.  Kindergarten has started and preschool doesn't start for 2 weeks.  We heard rumor princess Elsa was going to be at the trampoline park.  Emmy had a great time at the trampoline park and really enjoyed the bag of skittles from Spider man

My best friend has finally moved back and its like our little ones have not skipped a beat.  They had a great time handing out with Rach while their mom and dad were house shopping.

Coronado Beach

We stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado on our visit to San Diego.  It was right on the beach and the girls had a great time.  It was fun watching all the beginner surfers and soaking up some sunshine.

San Diego Zoo and Safari Park

The girls really enjoyed the petting zoo

Tiger park

Emmys favorite friend the Pygmy goat
The Cheetahs get their confidence around crowds of humans from a dog friend.  I though this was really neat to see.
It was fun to watch the Cheetah run, and even better when she decided to rest right in front of us between runs

Both girls really enjoyed the Hippos.  This guy continued to swim by the glass with the girls and would swim along them walking

The polar bear slept through our visit, but he was still an impressive sight to see
