Our sweet Austin was diagnosed with cancer in his bone on his left shoulder this past November. He began limping in mid-October and it did not respond well with pain medicine, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, or nerve pain blockers so we decided to proceed with a CT scan of the leg. He has hemangiosarcoma in the bone. This is a type of cancer that is very commonly found in the spleen, liver, or heart, but not very commonly found in the bone. It is really no surprise as nothing about Austin has been typical, traditional, or even average :) Our sweet Austin underwent radiation therapy and is currently feeling great. We know our time with him is limited but our goal is to make his last days, great days. So far, Austin is eating it up :)
