Guinea pig sitting
We had the honor to pet sit our friends guinea pigs for a couple weeks-Monk and Velma. They got to stay in Emmys room and she really enjoyed taking care of these little friends while it lasted.
Charlie
Charlie came home from the office on a Tuesday evening to meet my neighbors as a prospective home. It seems he is quiet happy living there. He has proven to be great with the girls and not so great with staying off the couch.
Bad Charlie
Charlie on his early morning exercise. We are trying the theory that a tired puppy is a good puppy.
Charlie and Emmy busted breaking the rules!
Addison and Charlie breaking the rules
Charlie loves to be babied by the girls. Charlie is a chewer. He chews everything and anything. He does not mind getting on the table for snacks or eating a diaper out of the trash right in front of you. Charlie is still up for adoption, but is currently enjoying foster care at the Webster home. He and Austin have made their peace and he and Turtle have certainly gotten into some fights. Overall Charlie is a very sweet dog and wants to please. He is teaching me a lot about the limitations of having a deaf dog, but at the same time there are some serious perks to that situation as well. He never barks with the neighbors dog at the fence or at the door bell. In fact, he doesn't even get up to greet people at the door bc he never knew they came in. He likes to wake Ryan and I up at 6 am to go for a walk. Having a puppy again has certainly been an adjustment for our family.
Ryan and the red tips
We choose to pull up some red tips in front of our house and plant some color. I had contacted a tree service as the roots did not seem like they were budging with a shovel and ax. Ryan felt the price was unreasonable and took matters into his own hands (against my will). BUT, he was right and it was fun to watch him pull those red tip roots right out of the ground with a tow hitch and his truck.
Kindergarten
Field Day with friends
Addison best friend from Kindergarten-Makayla
I was able to chaperon the kindergarten field trip. This was my group (all 3 of them :))
Our puppies and Charlie
Austin may be the nicest dog that was ever put in my path. He is friendly to everyone he has ever met. Austin underwent radiation therapy starting in November for cancer in his left scapula. He has been feeling great and enjoying being spoiled everyday.
Turtle learning to share with Charlie
Charlie went up, but Charlie is afraid to go down
Emmy loves Charlie and wants him to be her dog
Emmy and Charlie
Addison and Sweet Steiner
Emmy went to work with me for several Wednesdays during our transition from having a nanny to day care. She and Charlie did some serious bonding during this time.
Riding lessons
Addison is really progressing with her comfort on handling Honey (her riding lesson horse). She is learning not only how to ride, but also how to groom and take care of a horse. Addison is super passionate about horses and this hour is a highlight of her week.
Girls trip to Houston with Daddy

Sweet Austin
Emmy helping Gma garden
Addison and Emmy tasting the mint
Ryan and the girls traveled to Houston without me this year for Pattons birthday. The puppies were worried about the girls and insisted on walking to the elementary school to look for them. They are so used to picking Addison up from school everyday.
Aunt Cathys house
The girls always have a great time playing at Aunt Cathy and Uncle Mikes. They have the coolest new toys and of course, Horses!
Will work for ice cream
These girls are all about McDonalds chocolate dip cones for rewards for good behavior. They were both exhausted on the way to swim lessons so I had to use ice cream as encouragement. They did great and are totally into the reward for hard work at swim lessons.
Emmy's preschool program
Proud mom of her sweet little girls
Emmy was so precious at her preschool program. Very quiet, yet proud to be standing up there singing her songs that she had practiced in school. It i bitter sweet changing from Whites Chapel to day care next year. Simplicity will be enjoyed, but the sweetness of that little school will be missed.
Addison lost her first tooth!
Addison was so excited to have lost her first tooth at school. She was hesitant to let anyone pull the tooth, but once it started bleeding excessively at school the nurse was able to pull it for Addison in exchange for this awesome tooth carrying necklace :)
Toothless pose
Emmy wanted to pose too :)
OKC Zoo
Emmys absolute favorite animal in the world is a Giraffe. She was sooo excited to be able to feed one at the Oklahoma City Zoo.
We were able to go visit the Bacalja family in Oklahoma last month. It is always a great time when we are able to get together with our old Oklahoma friends.
